Each year at the World Series of Sales, we join with our top clients to give back and share our financial resources with one deserving organization. Since 2009, we’ve been able to raise more than $2 million to help incredible charities and amazing organizations around the country.
This year, we plan to continue our annual fundraising effort and work together to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in its effort to find a cure for blood cancers. By teaming up with LLS, we’ll be helping to find cures for cancers that are expected to account for more than 10 percent of all new cancer cases in the United States this year.
Our Opening Night fund-raising event has been a staple of the World Series of Sales since 2009. In that time, you’ve helped raise more than $2 million to help incredible charities and amazing organizations around the country. Here’s a look at the impact you’ve been able to make:
In 2016, we renewed a partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO) to help further its mission to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service to our nation. Together we were able to donate $620,000 to help ensure the men and women of the U.S. military can stay connected to the people, places and things they love.
With a donation of $600,000, we helped the Make-A-Wish Foundation® fulfill the wish of a Walt Disney World vacation for multiple children in every state in the nation in 2015, and direct an additional $100,000 to local Make-A-Wish organizations.
We first partnered with the United Service Organizations (USO) in 2013, when we raised a total of $225,000 to help the organization continue lifting the spirits of troops and military families around the world. In 2014, we again partnered with the USO to help provide our military heroes with a “touch of home.” That year we presented the USO with a check for $300,000.
With a $115,000 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, we were able to grant wishes to a number of children in the Los Angeles area in 2012.
In 2011, we teamed up with New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton and Payton’s “Play it Forward” Foundation to help restore the North Rampart Community Center in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The community center, a beacon of hope for the neighborhood, had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. With a donation of $114,000, we were able to help restore this neighborhood treasure to more than 250 children and their families.
Joining forces with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation in 2010, we helped provide scholarship grants, counseling and immediate financial assistance to special operations personnel and their surviving family members with a donation of more than $70,000.
Joining with Hall of Fame basketball analyst Dick Vitale in 2009, we raised more than $100,000 to help fund research to find cures for cancer through The V Foundation for Cancer Research, an organization created to honor Dick’s close friend, Jim Valvano.
